A man riding an assistance scooter died last night after being hit by a truck while looking for his dog at Old Jesup Road and North Lake Drive. The truck was traveling in the same direction as the scooter. The driver of the truck didn't see the scooter until it was too late to stop. The investigation is ongoing by the Special services unit of the Glynn County Police.
