Dr. Oz First On The Scene At Scary Highway Bus Fire, Posts Video

If ever a nurse or doctor drives by an accident or emergency, they'll stop and offer to help, but it isn't often that the doctor who pulls over is famous - though that's just what happened on the New Jersey Turnpike on Sunday.

Oprah Winfrey's favorite physician, Dr. Mehmet Oz, was driving on the highway when he passed by the bus just after flames began shooting out of the back of it. The high school students onboard were running away from the inferno so the good doctor pulled over to offer assistance.

Oz explained in his caption, "The passengers were students from a high school in Baltimore who were on their way home after seeing the musical 'Wicked' in New York City. Luckily no one was hurt, and the students were able to save their instruments -- some even braving the danger to protect these prized possessions. As the courageous driver, Anthony Townes, explained, the wheel of the bus caught on fire. I'm just so thankful everyone made it out safe and sound."

The TV doc didn't need to help too much so he was able to film the scene and chat with that brave driver. Firefighters showed up and closed down the southbound lanes for an hour as they extinguished the flames. A new bus came by after 30 minutes and took the kids back home to Baltimore.

Interestingly, it's not Oz's first time stopping at an emergency on the NJ Turnpike. He was first on the scene at a crash three years ago.
