Operation Deja Vu: Success

58 PEOPLE CHARGED IN “OPERATION DÉJÀ VU”

The Glynn County and Brunswick Police Departments announce charges have been filed against 58 people as the result of a long-term investigation. Dubbed “Operation Déjà vu”, the investigation by the joint Glynn-Brunswick Narcotics Enforcement Team began in January of this year and ran successfully until October.

During Operation Déjà vu, investigators seized large amounts of methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana, THC wax, MDMA, cocaine, and various prescription pills. Additionally, 6 vehicles, 39 firearms, and just over $41,000 in cash were seized.

Many of the people charged were arrested earlier today during a round-up which began before dawn. Some were already incarcerated, and some remain at-large.

“I would like to thank the Brunswick Police Department and Chief Kevin Jones for their longstanding partnership and participation in the Glynn-Brunswick Narcotics Enforcement Team”, Glynn County Police Chief John Powell said. “I am extremely impressed with the hard work and dedication the men and women assigned to the Glynn Brunswick Narcotics Enforcement Team exhibit each day. They truly care about the residents of the City of Brunswick and Glynn County, and about the negative impact illegal narcotics have on the community”, Powell said.

The Glynn County Police Department would also like to recognize other local, state, and federal partners who assisted in the operation today:
