Disney Plus Reveals First Footage Of 'Lizzie McGuire' Revival Series

Disney Plus kicked off 2020 with a mini-trailer of what's to come for the streaming service this year and the first footage of the Lizzie McGuire reboot is in the mix.

On Wednesday (January 1), Disney took to their YouTube channel to share the action-filled trailer with all the blockbusters and original series that is set for the programming schedule. Among some of the familiar franchises include Toy Story 4, The Lion King (live-action) and Lizzie McGuire. It's a quick glimpse, but the recently-married Hilary Duff is seen peaking her head into a car on what's presumably the streets of New York City. "Hi, It's me," she says to the driver. For the series, McGuire is said to be navigating her life in the Big Apple on the cusp of her 30th birthday. She will be working her dream job as an apprentice to a top designer and dating her dream man.

Previous to the teaser, the folks behind the show announced that Adam Lamberg would be reprising his role of Gordo for the revival series. "Gordo was an essential piece of the puzzle to what made the original Lizzie McGuire so authentic and beloved," Duff said of Lambert's return. "I couldn't imagine the series without him. I can't wait for fans to see what he's up to 15 years later and how he fits into Lizzie's adult world."

Among the other friendly faces that might return to the show include Miranda Sanchez (Lalaine Vergara-Paras) and Ethan Craft (Clayton Travis Snyder).
