A very rare case of strep throat is responsible for leaving a Michigan man without his hands and feet. WOOD-TV reports Kevin Breen started to feel sick over the holidays before excruciating stomach pain sent him to the hospital. It turns out that a case of strep throat had migrated to his stomach and his body couldn't handle the particularly virulent infection. His organs were failing so his body redirected blood from his limbs to try and save them. It left his hands and feet blackened and dead.
