The following notice was sent to parents today. There is one error in the notice: the student was stabbed while in the bus loop, not while boarding the bus.
”Late this afternoon, our administration learned that a student, while attempting to board one of our buses, was stabbed in the lower back by another student. Immediate action was taken to assess the incident and to start an investigation into the matter.
The victim has been transported to the hospital, and is expected to make a full recovery.The alleged attacker fled the scene but was taken into custody a few blocks from campus and is now facing school and criminal charges. No other students or staff members were harmed.
We understand how difficult of a situation like this is for our students, staff, and parents, and we appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding during this matter.
Please take this time to remind your child that school is no place for a weapon and emphasize their role in keeping our school safe.
