HSSCG Pet of the Week: Fendig

103Q presents the Humane Society of South Coastal Georgia's Pet of the Week!🐶😸

This week's pet is a dog named Fendig. Fendig was surrendered by a family who did not have enough time for him. He is a very handsome black and tan hound mix, weighing in at almost 65 pounds.

Are you looking for a hunk of burning love who will follow you anywhere? Fendig is crate trained and knows "sit" and "no". His previous owner said he is very vocal and "barks loudly and often". OK, he is a talker. We aren't sure if he just talks to himself when he is alone (like I do) or if he talks all the time.

He is curious about other dogs, but we always recommend a meet and greet to see how two dogs will get along. He also said he "likes to pick up cats"....that does not sound like a good thing. We would probably recommend no cats, particularly given Fendig's size.

Fendig is neutered, current on core vaccines, microchipped and has tested negative for heartworms.

Are you a fan of the hound breed? Do you find their talking "music" to your ears? Find out more about Fendig and virtual adoptions by emailing humanesociety@hsscg.org.

Give a little; our animals benefit a lot!❤️
