Friends just celebrated their 25th anniversary back in September, but we just found out that Phoebe actually could've had a different future in the show. In the beloved tv show, Phoebe dates David (Hank Azaria), the cute scientist, but they ended up breaking up when he leaves to do research in Minsk. Once David left, Phoebe eventually met Mike (Paul Rudd) and they fell in love. One thing some fans have always wondered is what would have happened if Phoebe married David instead of Mike? Well Friends co-creator David Crane recently did an interview with Radio Times and said,
"There was definitely a possibility of that. I mean, we didn't definitively know who she'd end up with. They're both amazing actors. I mean, both Paul and Hank are fantastic, and fantastic with her. We sort of went back and forth. I don't even remember all the pieces that led to where we landed, but yeah, it could have gone the other way. Phoebe would have been great with either one."
